Gentlemen of BG Covenant,

The monthly meeting of the Men’s Breakfast will begina new book in June.  All men of college age and older are encouraged to get involved. They meet once per month, the third Saturday of each month.  The new book is “EssentialTruths of the Christian Faith” by RC Sproul.  The books are available inthe church office now.  To reserve your copy, simply e-mail Cyndi in the churchoffice and she will set one aside for you.  The cost of the book is only$12.50, but if you cannot afford it, please speak to Mike Sanderson or Cyndi inthe church office.

Here is an excerpt from the book:

“With thelayperson in mind, Dr. Sproul offers a basic understanding of the Christianfaith that is interesting, informative, and easy to read. Sproul provides briefexplanations of biblical concepts every Christian should know in languageeveryone can understand. Highlighted with homespun analogies, the more than 100doctrines treated are categorized under major headings for easy reference.Among the features of this handy volume are helpful chapter summaries, furtherreading suggestions, and diagrams, which combine to make this an accessible andinformative resource for learning the essentials of the Christian faith.”

If you have never attended the Men’s Breakfast, nowwould be a great time to jump in.  The Men’s group will be spending aconsiderable amount of time in this rich book, which delves deeply into Christiantheology.  Again, they meet once per month, on the third Saturday of eachmonth.  There is always fellowship, worship and of course, food!
